A passionate team to improve and make of MBA a community tool as the voice for the bunker industry and its stakeholders.

The Malaysia Bunkering Association, or MBA in short, aims to be the voice for the bunker industry and its stakeholders. Established on 1 October 2021 in Malaysia, by a group of like-minded bunkering industry players with the ideal of improving the standards of bunkering within the Malaysian ports. MBA will also be helping to promote knowledge and understanding of the bunkering industry. MBA will strife to do all this thru a variety of events and courses, dialogue sessions with the different agencies, setting up of working groups to look at the various aspect of bunker, which includes safety, quality and quantity, trainings to improve its knowledge, arrange seminars on bunkering regulations relating to IMO and port regulations etc. MBA also strived to encourage co-operations within the industry and also to organise activities to attract customers to take bunkers in Malaysian Ports.

AIM/OBJECTIVES/MISSION

Represent Local Bunkering Industry Stakeholders

To represent local bunkering industry stakeholders in working with the relevant national bodies, authorities, and other groups and bodies in developing and improving standards of the industry.

Promote Greater Relationship

To promote greater cooperation, understanding and communication amongst Members in the bunkering industry in Malaysia.

Support and Enhance

To support and enhance the status of Members and the bunkering industry in Malaysia.

Networking Opportunities

Networking opportunities with International Bunker Players thru organise forum/conferences etc.

Provide Forum Discussion

To provide a forum for discussion of all matters and questions affecting the interests of Members and the bunkering industry, to agree on concerted action and to make representations on matters of interests affecting the Members and the Association to local authorities, statutory bodies, State and Federal Government and other organizations within and outside Malaysia .

Promote and Protect

To promote and protect the common interests of the Members of the Association and particularly to enter into meaningful consultations, discussions, dialogues, communications, exchanges and generally to co-operate and work with any public or private establishments, Federal of State Government, Semi-Government or corporatized authorities, boards, organisations, corporations, associations, person or persons, port users and operators calculated to benefit the Members and the Association

PARTNERSHIP

Tumpuan Megah Development Sdn Bhd (“TMD”) was established in 2007, and we are principally involved in the provision of ship to ship bunkering services as well as barging operations. In 2007, TMD was granted a license under the Petroleum Development Act (“PDA license”) by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism, and Johor Port Authority to operate at Johor/Pasir Gudang Port and Tanjung Pelepas Port respectively.
